Dutch Soccer Films in Shanghai

During the World Expo in Shanghai the Dutch Culture Centre will present a special programme of Dutch soccer films. The programme, showcasing the documentaries JOHAN CRUIJFF – EN UN MOMENTO DADO and AJAX, HARK THE HERALD ANGELS SING, will take place on July 6&7 and July 10&11, 2010.

Before the match will start between the Netherlands and Uruguay on July 6, the Dutch Culture Centre will keep up the soccer spirit in China by screening two Dutch soccer movies.

JOHAN CRUIJFF – EN UN MOMENTO DADO by director Ramon Gieling revolves around the period when Johan Cruyff played for FC Barcelona, the impact he had on the club, its supporters and the rest of Catalonia.

AJAX, HARK THE HERALD ANGELS SING (AJAX – DAAR HOORDEN ZIJ ENGELEN ZINGEN) by Roel van Dalen shows behind the scene footage from Amsterdam based soccer club Ajax during the 1999 – 2000 season.

The Dutch soccer film programme is organized in collaboration with the Netherlands China Arts Foundation and EYE Film Institute Netherlands.
