Tuscan Wedding reaches Golden status

Romantic comedy Tuscan Wedding has reached the status of Golden Film for more than 100.000 tickets within just 3 days since the film's release in Dutch cinemas on January 30.
Tuscan Wedding is director Johan Nijenhuis latest feature. The script is by Maarten Lebens and Annelou Verboon and the film is produced by 2Houses in co-production with Farmhouse Film and Johan Nijenhuis & Co. MountainRoad Entertainment handle the international sales.
Tuscan Wedding is about wedding planner Sanne who, together with father Tom and stepmother Marla, runs Casa Matrimonio, a luxurious country house in Tuscany. It’s the perfect location to celebrate the perfect wedding. Guests come together in Casa Matrimonio to celebrate love and life. A Tuscan wedding is the apotheosis of everyone’s visit to the villa. And for some the estate is even more familiar, because some people like to marry twice...
The Golden/Platinum/Diamond Film Award is awarded when the number of tickets sold after a film’s release reach 100.000, 400.000, and 1.000.000 respectively. The prize is an initiative presented by the Netherlands Film Festival and the Netherlands Film Fund since 2001 and is intended to encourage the Dutch film industry and motivate the general public to go and see Dutch films.
