TIRZA best film at FESTROIA
The Dutch feature film TIRZA, written and directed by Rudolf van den Berg (SNAPSHOTS, FOR MY BABY, THE COLD LIGHT OF DAY, THE JOHNSONS) has won the Gold Dolphin award for Best Film at the FESTROIA International Film Festival. The 27th edition of the festival was held from 3 - 12 June 2011 in Setúbal, Portugal.
TIRZA is a coproduction of Jeroen Koolbergen of Cadenza Films and San Fu Maltha of Fu Works (WINTER IN WARTIME, BLACK BOOK) in co-production with NTR (Marina Blok) and the Belgian producer Prime Time (Antonino Lombardo) and is based on the novel by Arnon Grunberg. Main cast are Sylvia Hoeks, Gijs Scholten van Aschat, Johanna ter Steege and Keitumetse Matlabo.
Rudolf van den Berg is currently working on his new feature film SÜSKIND. The film is a production of Fu Works and Cadenza Films. Distributor Independent Films is handling the Benelux release. The film is expected to be released this winter.
