Athens, 1983. Four-year old Bashir is killed during the assassination of his father, a top PLO lieutenant. But what if death is not the end of his journey? In discovering what Bashir’s life would have been like it turns out that, like his father, he would also be political. But instead of expressing himself with weapons, he would do what he loved to do as a child - draw cartoons. Maybe Bashir would have become the finest political cartoonist in Jordan…
Using a radical approach, looking for the boundaries of the documentary genre, THIS IS MY PICTURE WHEN I WAS DEAD tells a very personal story, in which reality is stranger than fiction.
