THE GANG OF OSS GOLDEN FILM

October 21, 2011

Dutch feature film THE GANG OF OSS, directed by André van Duren, has reached the status of Golden Film for more than 100.000 tickets sold, since its theatrical release in the Netherlands on September 29, 2011.

THE GANG OF OSS tells the story of Johanna (played by Sylvia Hoeks), a young woman who wants to escape from the web of crime that surrounds her. The harder she tries, the more she gets stuck in fraud, prostitution, manslaughter and even murder.

The Golden/Platinum/Diamond Film Award is an initiative presented by the Netherlands Film Festival  and the Netherlands Film Fund since 2001. The prize is intended to encourage the Dutch film industry and motivate the general public to go and see Dutch films. The total number of tickets sold after a film’s release determines whether a prize is awarded.

THE GANG OF OSS is produced by Sigma Pictures. The film was the opening film of the 31st edition of the Netherlands Filmfestival and is distributed in the Netherlands by Entertainment One Benelux.
