TAPED film rights sold to Columbia Pictures

February 29, 2012

Colombia Pictures has picked up the rights to Dutch thriller TAPED and will develop an English-language remake. The original producers NL Film will be on as a Executive Producers.

The Dutch film, directed by Diederik van Rooijen and written by van Rooijen and Marnie Blok, premiered last week in the Netherlands. The film is about a couple traveling to Argentina, to try to revive their marriage. They accidentally videotape an innocent person being shot by a corrupt cop and they have to go on the run.

At the moment no writer or filmmaker is attached yet to the American remake.
