On a train crossing Tanzania, a rolling microcosm of East African society, we follow three main characters, reflecting on the strength to survive.
In this feature length documentary, we follow Rukia, Peter and Isaya while embarking on a journey for three days and nights on a train crossing Tanzania. Rukia is an independent entrepreneurial woman, on her way to begin a new life. Isaya, with his grandson William, is an old Masai man heading back to the “bush”. Peter, a powerful preacher, makes money by letting his (poor) followers pay for his services. On the way they tell their life stories, which reveal the strength that is needed to survive.
