Success for Dutch films at Berlinale

On Friday February 13, several Dutch films received an award at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival.
Sacha Pola'k's Zurich (produced by Viking Film and written by Heleen van der Meulen) has won the Cicae Art Cinema Award, of the International Confederation of Art House Cinemas, for Best Film in the Forum section.
Giovanni and the Water Ballet by Astrid Bussink (produced by Een van de jongens) has been awarded the Special Prize of the Generation Kplus International Jury for Best Short Film.
A Special Mention of the Grand Prix of the Berlinale Generation 14plus International Jury went to Nena by Saskia Diesing (produced by KeyFilm, written by Saskia Diesing and Ester Gerritsen) andSam de Jong's Prince (produced 100% Halal and VICE media, written by Sam de Jong) also received a Special Mention of the Youth Jury Berlinale Generation 14plus.
In total eight films from the Netherlands and four Dutch minority co-productions were selected for the Berlinale. For an overview click here...
