An epic journey for the viewer, through the darkness of memory, eventually to emerge into the light of a new day.
At night, a group of young men and women, gather on the street corners of Freetown, Sierra-Leone. These streetboys are crippled and destitute: amputees of the civil-war that ended 10 years ago. Abandoned by their family, ostracised by society and forced to live in the streets, they form a close-knit community, beyond traditional tribal and religious dividing lines. Their dream is to build a house for themselves, so they buy a few bricks every day…
