March 6, 2012
The film rights of the Dutch feature film PLAN C have been sold to the United States. The movie will get an American remake.
PLAN C is about Ronald, a police detective with a plan to get rid of his gambling debt. He enlists two petty criminals to rob an illegal poker tournament he's taking part in, providing him with a perfect alibi. Quick, simple and non-violent, the plan is foolproof… until people start getting killed. But his partners take off with the money, and to make matters worse his colleagues now suspect him of the robbery. Ronald is all-in… holding the worst hand of his life.
PLAN C is directed and written by Max Porcelijn and produced by LEV Pictures, in co-production with CTM Films. The film has been released in cinemas in the Netherlands on March 1.
The film has also been selected for Fantastic Fest, the biggest genre festival in the United States, which takes place in Austin Texas (September 20 – 27, 2012).
