Mister Twister 2 reaches Platinum

Dutch feature Mister Twister Goes Camping by Barbara Bredero has already reached the status of Platinum Film for more than 400.000 tickets sold since the first day of its theatrical release in The Netherlands on December 11.

Mister Twister Goes Camping, written by Tijs van Marle and produced by PV Pictures, is the sequel to the succesful feature Mister Twister, Class of Fun (2012). The film follows Class 6b on a camping trip, led by Mees Kees and Mrs. Dreus. But after Dreus strains her back all responsibility suddenly rests on the shoulders of Kees. When things go wrong, he begins to doubt himself. But he soon learns that it is not about making mistakes, but about how to solve them.

Mister Twister Goes Camping is the Dutch youth film that attracted most visitors in 2013.   

The Golden/Platinum/Diamond Film Award is an initiative presented by the Netherlands Film Festival and the Netherlands Film Fund since 2001. The prize is intended to encourage the Dutch film industry and motivate the general public to go and see Dutch films. The total number of tickets sold after a film's release determines whether a prize is awarded.
