Leuven is Going Dutch
During the upcoming edition of the International Short Film Festival Leuven there will be a focus on short films from the Netherlands.
The Dutch are notably present in the film world. A new generation of filmmakers delivers strong films and also the short film catches the eye. Therefore the International Short Film Festival Leuven thinks the time has come to put the spotlight on Dutch short film productions and will present three compilation programmes titled Going Dutch.
Two Going Dutch compilation programmes contain films from the KORT!-initiative, which offers both young and established directors and script-writers the opportunity to make short fiction films. The two KORT! compilation programmes include a Best Of with films from past years, such as RAAK by Hanro Smitsman, as well as a selection of KORT! 2010 films like The EVOCATION OF SADNESS by Erwin Olaf and BROKEN MOON van Arno Dierickx.
The third compilation programme contains highlights from the international film festival circuit with among others SUCCESS by Diederik Ebbinge, which was awarded Best Comedy at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival 2009 and the Oscar-winning animation film FATHER AND DAUGHTER by Michael Dudok de Wit.
The International Short Film Festival Leuven takes place 4 to 11 December:
