Kenau wins at Stony Brook

July 28, 2014

Dutch feature Kenau by director Maarten Treurniet has won the Audience Choice Award for Best Feature at the 19th Stony Brook Film Festival in the US. Actress Eva Bartels (who plays Alda in Kenau) was present at the screening of the film at the festival and received the prize during the awards ceremony that took place on Saturday July 26. Kenau had its US premiere at the Stony Brook Film Festival.

Kenau is produced by Fu Works (NL) in co-production with I'm Film (HU) and Prime Time (BE). For the second year in a row, Fu Works wins the Audience Award at Stony Brook. Last year The Blitz, by director Ate de Jong, was voted Best Feature by the festival's audience.

Kenau was released in Dutch cinemas in March of this year.
