KAUWBOY nominee EFA Young Audience Award

Dutch feature film KAUWBOY by director Boudewijn Koole (production: Waterland Film, script: Jolein Laarman and Boudewijn Koole) is nominated for the first European Film Academy Young Audience Award. The other nominees are BLUE BIRD by Gust van den Berghe (Belgium) and SISTER by Ursula Meier (France/Switzerland).
The three nominated films will be screened on June 10, Young European Audience Film Day, to a young audience (10 – 13 year-olds) in Amsterdam, Belgrade, Copenhagen, Erfurt, Stockholm and Turin. The young audience in these six cities will act as a jury and vote for the winner right after the screenings. The presentation of the award will take place on the same day in Erfurt, Germany. The Young European Audience Film Day is organised by the European Film Academy in collaboration with various international partners, among which EYE Film Institute Netherlands.
KAUWBOY had its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival where it won two important prizes for Best Youth Film and Best First Feature, and has since been screened and awarded at various other international film festivals. The film is screening at national cinemas at the moment.
