Heart Street Golden Film

Heart Street director Sanne Vogel's debut feature, has already reached the status of Golden Film for 100.000 tickets sold. The film is screening at 122 cinemas in the Netherlands since March 13. Heart Street is written by Judith Goudsmit and produced by 2CFilm (NL) in co-production with RTL Entertainment (NL)and Just Bridge Entertainment (NL). International sales are handled by High Point Media Group.
Heart Street is a romantic comedy about Daan, a delicatessen owner. He is not amused when stuck-up Katje opens her high fashion store across the street. When Katje starts to fall for his charming personality and delicious food, Daan stoically rejects all her efforts to connect. But in order to show him the real girl beneath her fashion persona she sends him a message with a fake online dating profile. Daan enjoys the correspondence with this sensitive, witty girl, but when he wants to meet in person, things get complicated.
The Golden/Platinum/Diamond Film Award is an initiative presented by the Netherlands Film Festival and the Netherlands Film Fund since 2001. The prize is intended to encourage the Dutch film industry and motivate the general public to go and see Dutch films. The total number ofadmissions (resp. 100.000, 400.000, 1.000.000) determines whether a prize is awarded. Films that reach the Golden Film status in the period of September 1 2013 till September 1 2014 will be eligible for the Golden Calf Audience Award at the Netherlands Film Festival 2014.
