FIDGETY BRAM Golden Film
August 28, 2012
Family film FIDGETY BRAM has reached the status of Golden Film. More than 100.000 tickets have been sold already since the film’s release in Dutch cinemas on June 27.
FIDGETY BRAM is about a little boy who just cannot sit still. Bram thinks a lot about the world around him. He is looking forward to entering the first grade but unfortunately he ends up in the class of the strict Mr. Fish. The old-fashioned teacher doesn’t care about Bram’s internal, mobile, unfocussed world and does whatever it takes to make him do things right.
The film is director Anna van der Heide’s first feature film. The script is by Mieke de Jong. Bosbros produced the film and Delphis Films handles the sales.
The Golden/Platinum/Diamond Film Award is awarded when the number of tickets sold after a film’s release is 100.000, 400.000, and 1.000.000 respectively. The prize is an initiative presented by the Netherlands Film Festival and the Netherlands Film Fund since 2001 and is intended to encourage the Dutch film industry and motivate the general public to go and see Dutch films.
FIDGETY BRAM is distributed in the Netherlands by Benelux Film Distributors and is screening in 76 national cinemas at the moment.
