Dutch film screenings in Beijing

The Netherlands is the official Country of Honour at the 18th edition of the Beijing International Book Fair ( August 31 -  September 4). A wide range of activities will be organized, including a movie programme of Dutch book-to-film adaptations. The literature film screenings take place August 27 – September 4 at the Beijing UCCA Arts Cinema.

Six unique Dutch feature films will be screened. All of them are based on very successful Dutch novels, and are award winners as excellent films themselves. The movies that will be shown are WINTER IN WARTIME by director Martin van Koolhoven, MINOES by Vincent Bal, THE LETTER FOR THE KING by Pieter Verhoeff, THE DARK HOUSE by Will Koopman, STRICKEN by Reinout Oerlemans and MINDSHADOWS by Heddy Honigman.

The Dutch literature film screenings at the Beijing International Book Fair are organized in collaboration with the Netherlands Embassy in Beijing and EYE Film Institute Netherlands.
