Dutch films off to Cleveland
Seven films from the Netherlands have been selected for the 35th edition of the Cleveland International Film Festival (March 24 – April 3, 2011).
The festival programme includes the fiction features R U THERE by David Verbeek (IDTV Film), WIN/WIN by Jaap van Heusden (IJswater Films) and the Dutch/German/French/Kyrgyzstanian co-productie THE LIGHT THIEF (NL co-producer: Volya Films).
Also the documentary FAREWELL by Ditteke Mensink (Pieter van Huystee Film) is screened.
In addition there will be a number of Dutch short films presented: DROP DEAD by Arne Toonen (Hazazah Pictures), and the animations PIVOT by André Bergs (il Luster) and RED END AND THE SEEMINGLY SYMBIOTIC SOCIETY by Robin Noorda (Rocketta Film).
The Cleveland International Film Festival includes a full survey of contemporary international arthouse cinema. Every year the festival screens about 300 feature films, documentaries and short films from over more than 60 countries.
