Dutch films at Filmfestival Munster

3 October 2011

Filmfestival Münster in Germany has selected a large number of Dutch films. This 14th edition (October 12 - 16) the festival, which takes place every two years, celebrates its 30th birthday. It has become a platform recognized across Europe for high quality productions and the promotion of new talent. For many years Münster has been like a second home for Dutch films.

The European feature film competition, which theme this year is "What keeps life together", includes Fleur Boonman's directorial debut PORTABLE LIFE and the Belgian/Dutch co-production 22 MAY by Koen Mortier. Together with 6 other movies they compete for the Best Director Prize which comes with €7,500.

The programme Filmspiegel is entirely dedicated to Dutch documentaries and there will be screenings of ALL WE EVER WANTED by Sarah Domogala, the award winning FLYING ANNE by Catherine van Kampen, CURAÇAO by Sarah Vos and  Sander Snoep, AN ANGEL IN DOEL by Tom Fassaert, THE LIE by Robert Oey and THE CARE FACTORY by Kim Brand.

In the Unheimlich & Böse section, with horror films and thrillers, Elbert van Strien's TWO EYES STARING is presented.
