Verbeek's project selected for Cannes
The Cannes Film Festival has selected the new project FULL CONTACT by Dutch director David Verbeek to take part in the sixth Cinéfondation Atelier. A total of fifteen projects have been selected, which are offered industry networking opportunities for directors and producers. The programme will enable them to gain access to international financing and speed up the production process.
David Verbeek’s FULL CONTACT is set in a world where people have lost direct contact with reality and get their experiences via screens, the media and the Internet. The film will be produced by IDTV Film.
Verbeek is a returning guest at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2010 his film R U THERE had its premiere at the festival in the programme section Un Certain regard.
Last year another project from the Netherlands also participated in the L’Atelier: CODE BLUE, the new film by director Urszula Antoniak.
The Cinéfondation Atelier takes place May 13 – 20 during the Cannes Film Festival.
