Diary of a Pigeon
The story of a top Dutch racing pigeon who ends up in Beijing, told from the perspective of the bird.
‘218’ is one of the most famous race pigeons in the Netherlands, owned by Herman Boekelo of Groningen. Herman loves the sport and his pigeons but as the financial crisis hits he is tempted to sell his star to estate billionaire Zhang Jinsong, the biggest pigeon racer in the whole of China. This remarkable, tragicomic story is told through the eyes of ‘218’, using steadycam and shift-tilt techniques.
