At the 1st edition of the Odessa International Film Festival (Ukraine) CAKEMAN received an award for 'Best Acting Work' for actor Jaap Spijkers (WAITER, CLOACA, THE POLISH BRIDE). It was the first time CAKEMAN was shown at an international film festival and it immediately received an award.
CAKEMAN is directed by Annemarie van de Mond and produced by Zoo Pictures.
CAKEMAN is part of the 2009 telefilms project.
In CAKEMAN a small-town confectioner (Jaap Spijkers) becomes embroiled in a drug-deal when the debts of his shopaholic wife treathen to ruin his livelihood.
