Barbee Butcher by Sophie Lagues
Barbee Butcher

Barbee Butcher

Short clay stop motion in which a greenish clay creature cuts a Barbie doll into pieces with the aim of turning itself into a femme fatale ... but with unexpected results! (00”23, 2008).

The extremely personal sphere of Sophie Lagues’ style is marked by a surrealistic and corrosive humor as well as dreamy poetry. A suppressed violence underlying a seemingly naïve and childish surface aims at expressing the unspeakable through various animated techniques such as pixilation, clay, puppet and object animation.
