Vipers Nest 2 platinum film

December 11, 2014

Viper's Nest 2 has reached the status of Platinum Film for 400.000 tickets within just seven days after its official release in national cinemas.

Viper's Nest 2 is directed by Will Koopman, written by Frank Houtappels and produced by Talpa Fictie.

Viper's Nest 2 is the sequel to the successful comedy Viper's Nest (2011) about four girlfriends Claire, Cheryl, Anouk and Roelien, who live a bourgeois life.
This time when a totally transformed Claire returns from Burkina Faso, her girlfriends barely recognize her. Cheryl discovers Martin is cheating on her yet again and for her it’s the last straw: she files for divorce.
Anouk, also unhappy with her love life, threatens to develop an eating disorder. Roelien, however, accepts Evert’s wedding proposal.
A fatal and thoroughly bizarre accident transports the girlfriends to the snowy mountaintops of Austria.

The Golden/Platinum/Diamond Film Award is an initiative presented by the Netherlands Film Festival and the Netherlands Film Fund since 2001. The prize is intended to encourage the Dutch film industry and motivate the general public to go and see Dutch films. The total number of admissions (resp. 100.000, 400.000, 1.000.000) determines whether a prize is awarded. Films that reach the Golden Film status in the period of September 1 2014 till September 1 2015 will be eligible for the Golden Calf UPC Audience Award at the Netherlands Film Festival 2014. Together with the Golden Film the Dutch Screenwriter's Association awards the Golden Pen to the screenwriter of the film.
