900 DAYS awarded @ ArtDokFest Moscow

Dutch documentary 900 DAYS, directed by Jessica Gorter, has won the Special Jury Prize for Long Documentary at the ArtDokFest in Moscow. The film is produced by Zeppers Film, in co-production with Dutch broadcaster IKON.
900 DAYS is a documentary about the Blockade of Leningrad during World War II. The film shows an impressive picture of the struggle of the survivors, whose personal memories are sometimes overshadowed by the heroic myth held up by the authorities. the horrific truth about which they were forbidden to talk about for all these years.
In november 2011 the film was awarded with the Dioraphte IDFA Award for Best Dutch Documentary at the Amsterdam International Documentary Film Festival (IDFA) 2011.
