PIVOT nominated for Cartoon d'Or

Dutch Short animated film PIVOT, directed by André Bergs, was nominated for the prestigious Cartoon d’Or.

The Cartoon d’Or is the European prize for best animated short films and is organized with the support of the European MEDIA Programme. The award ceremony will take place on Thursday 15th September in Poland, during the Cartoon Forum in Sopot.

PIVOT is produced by Il Luster Productions, written by Jan Eduards and the music is composed by Alex Debicki. The film centers on a man who must run for his life, after  witnessing a murder and accidentally taking a picture of the offender.

The film already received the Mind's Eye Award at the Short Short Story Film Festival 2010 (US), the Jose Abel Prize at CINANIMA 2010 (Portugal), the Golden Méliès Award for Best European Short Fantastic Film at the 26th Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival and was nominated for a Golden Calf at the Netherlands Film Festival 2009.
