Dutch Docs @ IDFA 2016

Dutch cinema is strongly represented at the 29th Amsterdam International Documentary Film Festival (16 - 27 November), with more than fifty Dutch productions and co-productions in various sections.

No less than twenty-five films from the Netherlands have been selected for various IDFA competitions and all of these films will have their world premiere at the festival.

Stranger in Paradise, by Guido Hendrikx and produced by Zeppers Film, is the Official Opening Film and is selected for the IDFA Competition for First Appearance.

How to Meet a Mermaid by Coco Schrijber and Miss Kiet's Children by Petra & Peter Lataster, have been selected for the IDFA Feature-Length Competition.

Directors Lieshout, Hagers & van Brummelen get a lust for life with Iggy Pop and Houellebecq in How to Survive - A Method, selceted for the IDFA Mid-Length Competition.
