Dutch premieres at IFFR 2010

Until so far, the Rotterdam International Film Festival has announced that C'EST DEJA L'ETE by Martijn Smits will be one of the new Dutch film titles to premiere during the IFFR 2010. C'EST DEJA L'ETE is part of the VPRO Tiger Awards Competition.

Additionally, the short films HOW TO EXPLAIN MY PARENTS #1 by Lernert Engelberts and Sander Plug, SEX IS SENTIMENTAL by Erik van Lieshout and 79 ˚ DESERT: JOURNEYS BEYOND THE KNOWN WORLD by Anna Abrahams are selected to compete in the Tiger Awards Competition for Short Films.

Outside competition IFFR 2010 will present the premieres of the Dutch films WIN / WIN by Jaap van Heusden, SHOCKING BLUE by Mark de Cloe, HUNTING AND SONS by Sander Burger and MEAT by Victor Nieuwenhuijs and Maartje Seyferth.

The selection of documentaries from the Netherlands includes MY ENSCHEDE by Astrid Bussink, HEAVENLY LIFE ON EARTH by Jesse de Jong and the intimate family portrait SEPARATIONS by Andrea Seligmann and Mieke Bal.

From 440 submissions Rotterdam’s international co-production market CineMart 2010 has chosen 33 projects, including 8 Dutch (co)productions:
