Dutch animation at Anima Mundi
Seven Dutch animated films are selected for the 18th edition of the festival Anima Mundi, a competitive festival devoted exclusively to animated films. The festival will take place from July 16th to the 1st of August 2010, in the cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Brazil.
Selected for the competition programme of Anima Mundia are the films: AN ABSTRACT DAY by Oerd van Cuijlenborg, LITTLE QUENTIN by Albert 't Hooft and Paco Vink, PIVOT by André Bergs and THE 7 BROTHERS by Kaj and Paul Driessen.
AN ABSTRACT DAY, LITTLE QUENTIN and PIVOT are all produced by Il Luster Productions. AN ABSTRACT DAY is the third animated film by Oerd van Cuijlenborg.
LITTLE QUENTIN tells the story of an oversexed bunny, a murder, a cover-up and a terrible secret and in PIVOT a man who is witnessing a murder has to run for his life. THE 7 BROTHERS is a CineTé Film Production.
Selected for Anima Mundi’s competitive category ‘Portfolio’ is the KLIK! Amsterdam Animation Festival trailer 2009 by House of Secrets (Bobby de Groot, Arjan van Meerten and Sven Neve).
THEATRE PATOUFFE by Maarten Koopman will be presented in the non competitive ‘Panorama’ programme and SLIM PICKINGS FAT CHANCES by David de Rooij and Jelle Brunt will screen in the festival’s non competitive programme ‘Animation Of Course’, which spotlights animated films made as a final work in an animation course.
