Dutch animated films selected for Seoul
ABSTRACT DAY by Oerd van Cuijlenborg, LITTLE QUENTIN by Albert ‘t Hooft and Paco Vink, PIVOT by André Bergs and THE ORIGIN OF CREATURES are selected for the ‘Short Films Professional Competition’ of the 14th edition of the Seoul International Cartoon & Animation Festival SICAF. The festival will take place from July 21 – 25, 2010.
ABSTRACT DAY, LITTLE QUENTIN and PIVOT are all produced by Il Luster Productions. Il Luster is the most active animation production company in the Netherlands, involved in independent and commissioned work and working with a great number of talented animated film makers.

ABSTRACT DAY is a semi-abstract animation film based on a story wich is told in sound. We witness a day in the life of a couple, who fight, make love and escape the hot and crowded city. It is a simple story in which the visuals and sound are produced together to merge into a unique world.
LITTLE QUENTIN tells the story of an oversexed bunny, a murder, a cover-up and the discovery of a terrible secret. You wish it was only a dream!
In PIVOT a man who is witness to a murder and has taken pictures of the killer, has to run for his life. During the chase the prey becomes the hunter. All resulting in an unfortunate ending.
THE ORIGIN OF CREATURES is the new animated film by Floris Kaayk, produced by seriousFilm. A futuristic vision of mankind after a catastrophic disaster. In this dark parable mutated limbs are looking for corporation, but due to miscommunication this mission is doomed to fail. THE ORIGIN OF CREATURES is also selected for the Annecy Animation Film Festival 2010.
