Dazzle by Cyrus Frisch at Tribeca and BAFICI

The Dutch feature Dazzle (Oogverblindend) by acclaimed avant-garde director Cyrus Frisch has been selected for two major international film festivals.

From March 25 to April 5, 2009 the Buenos Aires Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente (BAFICI) will take place in Argentina, where Dazzle will be screened in presence of the director. Additionally, the Tribeca Film festival in New York is thrilled to welcome back the director and his latest feature. In 2007 Cyrus Frisch visited the Tribeca Film Festival with his film Why Did Not Anybody Tell Me It Would Become This Bad In Afghanistan.

At the Tribeca Film Festival Dazzle will take part in the ‘Showcase’ section. According to Senior Programmer Genna Terranova this section ‘brings a blend of thoughtful and often intimate stories that work to transcend cultural, personal and familial divides, as well as the traditional boundaries of cinema.’

Dazzle premiered during the International Film Festival Rotterdam (January 21 - February 1, 2009) as part of the Spectrum programme.
