Last Conversation at Karlovy Vary
Dutch feature Last Conversation selected for Critics Choice programme in Karlovy Vary
The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, which is considered to be the most influential film event in Central and Eastern Europe, will take place from July 3 – 10, 2009.
During the festival’s sidebar programme "Variety Critics’ Choice: Europe Now!" (July 5-6, 2009) European Film Promotion (EFP), in close partnership with the trade magazine Variety, will present ten emerging European directors and their films. A trailer of all 10 films of the Critics’ Choice sidebar programme in Karlovy Vary, can be watched on the EFP website.
From the Netherlands director Noud Heerkens will take part in the programme with his debut film Last Conversation. In this film, award winning actress Johanna ter Steege plays (in one spectacular long take, shot with 25 cameras), the tragic figure of the proud, but jilted lover. Last Conversation premiered during the International Film festival Rotterdam 2009.
